tuCloud DaaS Engine
We are proud to provide tuCloud’s DaaS Engine solution, with benefits that can enable a truly mobile workforce for your
organization. The DaaS Engine provides a simple and highly cost-effective way of scaling small, medium, and large Desktop
-as-a-Service clouds; the Engine integrates connection brokering, load balancing, desktop provisioning, high-availability
stretch clustering, and intuitive management control panels in a single appliance.
You can run tuCloud’s DaaS Engine appliance on commodity servers with local storage, either HD or SSD depending on your
requirements, it can also be set up with collective access to shared or centralized storage if the requirement demands it.
The DaaS Engine architecture is underpinned by a true grid distributed system that makes expansion easy, allows you to
scale up without encountering scalability bottlenecks, and delivers high-availability without requiring externally attached
SAN storage. To expand, just add additional DaaS Engines to the existing grid.
tuCloud DaaS Engine automatically prepares the new servers with the appropriate desktop images, and load balances the
desktop workload across the grid. If a persistent desktop infrastructure is a business requirement, you can simply direct the
DaaS Engine to existing VAAI capable shared storage such as a SAN or NAS device.
